RV Day Trips

All-American Road Cruise

Taking in the majestic views of Alaska is a timeless way to spend your trip to the Last Frontier. For centuries visitors have been struck speechless at the sight of our landscapes – and you can be your own guide as you take in the beauty our state has to offer! National Scenic Byways are recognized by the United States Department of Transportation for possessing unique qualities. The most scenic of these roads are designated All-American Roads, and two are in the state of Alaska! The Alaska Marine Highway System and Seward Highway.

  • The only water system to be designated a National Scenic Byway, bringing your RV onboard the Alaska Marine Highway System allows you to sit back and enjoy the 5-day voyage up the Inside Passage and across the Gulf to Whittier, Alaska.
  • Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you can see indigenous species up close as they care for injured and orphaned animals year-round. Watch Wood Bison meander through 65 acres of tidal flat terrain, part of a program to restore the species to Alaska.
  • Set up camp and enjoy a long Alaskan summer night. Many campgrounds offer full hookups for RVs and Internet service, or you can unplug and watch the campfire instead!
  • Cruise down the Seward Highway as you continue the All-American Road trip of a lifetime on the other nationally recognized highway in Alaska, through the Kenai Peninsula, Chugach National Forest, and Kenai Mountains.
